Successful take-off for one of the largest cargo aircraft in the world, chartered by Heppner’s Mulhouse agency

Heppner coordinated the full freight of an Antonov 124 cargo aircraft for its client Cryostar. This sizeable challenge was handled by our Freight Forwarding team who transported 90 tonnes of cryogenic material to South Korea.

A specialist in industrial cryogenic equipment, Cryostar used Heppner for an extraordinary task: transporting equipment, which was 30 loads of cargo, totalling 90 tonnes (including two 7m-long machines that weighed 20 tonnes each), to a naval construction site in South Korea by air freight over a distance of more than 9,000 km.

Heppner’s Freight Forwarding agency in Mulhouse initiated and led this project from start to finish to ensure operational excellence at all of the stages of this unusual transport assignment. The Heppner team also carried out feasibility studies, cost studies and selection studies to choose the highest qualified subcontractors, as well as completing the administrative formalities and coordinating the loading stages from pick-up to take-off.

This operation perfectly illustrates the expertise that Heppner provides for its clients, as, armed with an international network and a wide range of expertise, Heppner customises each of its solutions to best respond to its clients’ requirements. Heppner acts as a real partner to support all by guaranteeing excellence in terms of operations and response.

“We want to thank Cryostar for this new sign of confidence. Once again, Heppner has demonstrated its capacity to adapt to the most specific and complex requests. It was also an excellent achievement and a source of pride for our Mulhouse agency”, declares Alexandre Tritschler, Regional Director East at Heppner.
