A committed company
A structured and measured commitment
To benchmark and improve our social policy, Heppner joined the Global Compact, the global pact created by the United Nations to reward companies that adopt a socially responsible strategy. In practical terms, we assess the impact of our actions and report annually on our progress in four areas:
- Respect of Human Rights
- Environmental Protection
- Compliance with international labor standards, including combatting discrimination
- Combatting corruption
Promoting youth employment
Heppner works with local communities, associations and schools on professional and social integration projects. Every year we take 80 students on sandwich courses and we have forged close and solid relationships with specialized training organizations.
Equal opportunities for men and women
While women account for 19% of the industry workforce, the Group’s female employees account for 30% of its workforce. Strongly committed to promoting internal promotion and equity, the gender equality index reached 89 (on 100) in 2018 and 2019.
A responsible company
With 3.5% of disabled employees, Heppner is committed to a long-term disability policy. What’s more, in 2006, Heppner became a signatory of the Diversity Charter. This commitment shows that we support diversity, beyond the basic legal commitment to fight discrimination.
